ORIGINAL GRAPHIC WORK:

It is that work conceived by the artist and executed on stone, plate or other materials with the purpose of multiplying it through printing, which is accomplished from the surface where the image was executed.

 

 

OBRA GRAFICA ORIGINAL 

 

Es aquella obra que fue concebida por el artista y ejecutada sobre piedra, plancha metálica u otro material con el propósito de multiplicarla a través de la estampación, que se lleva a cabo desde la superficie donde fue ejecutada la imagen.

La obra gráfica original debe estar numerada, llevar la marca del estampador y estar firmada por el artista.

En el III Congreso Internacional de Artistas celebrado en Viena en 1960, se elaboró una definición del grabado original cuyos dos primeros apartados son los siguientes: 

1. Es un derecho exclusivo del artista grabador establecer el número definitivo de cada una de sus obras gráficas en las distintas técnicas : aguafuerte, litografía, etc... 

2. Para ser considerado como original, cada grabado debe llevar la firma del artista, y además, una indicación del total de la edición y un número de serie del grabado.

Original graphic work should be numbered, bear the mark of the printer and be signed by the artist. 

In the III International Congress of Artists celebrated in Vienna in 1960, a definition of original engraving was elaborated, whose first two sections are as follows: 

1. It is an exclusive right of the artist to establish the definite number of each of his graphic works in the different techniques: etching, lithography, etc... 

2. To be considered as original, each engraving must bear the artist's signature, and moreover, an indication of the number in the series of the engraving and the total number of the edition.
